As a global manufacturer, Stemco specializes in the production of wheel end components, brakes, and suspension systems for commercial vehicles and trailers. Stemco uses customer-driven solutions to increase technological innovation and improve standards for safety and performance.
The Challenge
Stemco, an ISO-9001 certified company, requested assistance in identifying gaps between their current system and the requirements of the 2015 revision of the ISO-9001 standard.
MEP's Role
TMEP worked with Stemco to analyze ISO 9001:2015 requirements and develop a transition plan for the company to the new ISO standard. In order to maintain a Quality Management System which conforms to the ISO 9001:2015 standard, a gap analysis of the company’s current system was produced to identify areas for improvement and offer solutions for implementation. With the assistance of TMEP, Stemco revised their current system to the new ISO standard which allowed the company to conduct business with current and new clients who require their suppliers to have a Quality Management System which conforms to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
