Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Lunch and Learn

CMMC Virtual Lunch and Learn  |  Dec 10, 2020  |  11:15-12:00 CT

The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is the next step in the Department of Defense (DoD) efforts to protect U.S. defense manufacturing supply chains from cyberthreats. The CMMC incorporates the requirements of National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication (NIST SP) 800-171 and establishes a new framework for defense contractors to become certified as cybersecurity compliant.

CMMC has 5 levels of maturity which are based on the risk of the information being exchanged.   Level 1 and Level 3 will be the predominant Levels for subcontractors.

The difference between the two is the type of information you will receive according to your contract.  Level 1 is the lowest risk information (Federal Contract Information – FCI) which is addressed in FAR Clause 52.204-21.  Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) requirements are   taken upon existing regulations (DFARS 252.204-7012).

This lunch and learn webinar will review key terms, principle requirements and a suggested approach for developing a process with which to move forward in preparation for meeting these new and upcoming requirements.

Please Note: If you are a current Level 3 subcontractor you are required to do a self-assessment and record the total in the Supplier Performance Risk System by November 30, 2020.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
