Cybersecurity Risk Assessment Services

UT CIS is partnering with TTU CEROC to provide cybersecurity risk assessment services for small to medium sized manufacturing companies.

According to a February 2020 report published by cybersecurity company, BullGuard, 43% of small businesses have no cybersecurity defense plan. While securing data can be simple, remediation is not. Companies that fall victim to a cyber-attack experience significant downtime that seriously impacts productivity, data privacy, and revenue. The TTU CEROC program aims to:

  • Provide a cybersecurity risk assessment for stakeholders of small to middle-sized manufacturers identifying opportunities for improvement of their cybersecurity position
  • Help organizations understand their security posture based upon client requests
  • Provide recommendations to aid in improvement of organizational security posture
  • Increase overall regional and statewide awareness of cybersecurity issues addressable through common sense solutions
  • Improve cybersecurity training techniques and solutions using feedback from Industry

The Cybersecurity Risk Assessment is based upon the NIST Cybersecurity Framework via the key areas of Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover. Our assessment uses a summarized set of these areas customizing the experience for the specific needs of small to medium sized businesses. The assessment can use used as a primary cyber review or as a complementary exercise to other controls-based activities such as ISO 27001 (ISMS) or management frameworks such as ITIL (continual service improvement focus).
