DOT Certification Training: Online or In-Person?

by Chuck Gluck, UT CIS Safety Consultant

As our lives start to return to normal after more than a year of the COVID-19 pandemic, I encourage everyone to take a look at the status of their certification. Coronavirus safety protocol has prevented many folks from getting to class and maintaining the credentials they worked hard to get, and it would be easy to let those certifications lapse.

Considering these challenges, I understand why some folks may choose to get online DOT certification training. I hear this quite a bit, actually. It’s often the case, though, that businesses will pay a training fee for these online courses but walk away not fully knowing what they need to do the job. The certification you receive is also not guaranteed to address all modern industry needs.  The classes that are offered online don’t always give you supportive information, nor do they tell you what regulators are looking for. However, we can do that

The training on regulations is not easy, which is why anyone pursuing DOT certification training needs to have hands-on training with experienced instructors. UT CIS offers that kind of real-world experience and high-quality training that can help you learn exactly what you need to know. Plus, we give you all the books needed to do that job. Our experienced instructors also provide you with our contact information in case you have questions after the course. We want to make sure you have all of the tools you need to be successful during and after the training.

We in the training and regulatory oversight business at UT CIS understand the challenges that COVID-19 has presented to those trying to maintain their certifications, and we want them to know that we are here to help.
