The Coolest Thing Made in Tennessee contest was designed to highlight the wide array of products manufactured in Tennessee and bring awareness to manufacturing careers across the state. Nominations for this year’s contest will begin on June 16 and remain open through June 30. Nomination announcements will be made on July 15, and the following day, the contest will enter popular voting rounds to determine the top 16, competing down to the final four.
This year’s winner will be announced on October 1 at the Tennessee Manufacturing Excellence Luncheon in Lebanon, TN. The top four finalists will be invited to set up an exhibit in anticipation of the announcement.
Developed in 2024, the inaugural contest saw over 100 products nominated and more than 75,000 votes cast in the competition. There were 20 Made in Tennessee members nominated, and American Paper Optic made it to the final four. The Nissan Rogue was announced as the winner of the inaugural competition on July 25, 2024.
The Coolest Thing Made in TN contest is co-sponsored by UT CIS, the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Tennessee Manufacturers Association, and the Smart Factory Institute TN.
