More about GO-DBE

The most common reference for the acronym is Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE); however, the DBE in our name stands for Diversity Business Enterprise. It is important to note that the DBE certification and the certifications offered by Go‐DBE are not interchangeable. While Go‐DBE will accept the DBE certification as a reciprocal certification for its program, Go‐DBE’s certification will not be accepted as a reciprocal certification by the Department of Transportation or for a federal project requiring a DBE certification. DBE certification is necessary for firms wanting to participate in the set‐aside for federally assisted procurements that have DBE contracting goals.
