UT CIS team member Veronica Clark has been named one of the Nashville Business Journal's 40 Under 40 winners for 2021.
As a Procurement Consultant at the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) of the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services (UT CIS), Clark assists Tennessee businesses to compete successfully in federal, state and local government contracting.
Clark says, "I am humbled and honored to be among the 40 Under 40 honorees for 2021! Thank you to the Nashville Business Journal for this recognition. Congratulations to all of my fellow award recipients!"
"As the Domestic Violence Committee Chair for the National Hook-Up of Black Women Inc., I was committed to advocating for the voiceless. As the committee chair, I instituted the Dr. Ruth Dennis My Sister's Keepers: Empowerment Fund. This fund was designed to aid individuals who have been impacted by domestic violence. Although the National Hook-Up of Black Women Inc. is a predominantly African American organization, we know that domestic violence has no racial barriers. In fact, in year one of the fund, we awarded the fund to a non-African American young woman living in a shelter working to regain her voice. In five years, this fund has created life-changing impact for five women and their families."
