TMEP Team Presents at Assembly Show South

Key members of the Tennessee Manufacturing Extension Partnership (TMEP) team, part of the UT CIS organization, helped get the 1st ever Assembly Show South kicked off in Nashville, TN on April 4th.

The team of Industry Consultants Keith Groves, Danny Norman, and Tim Waldo led one of the initial sessions titled 'A Lean Journey to Industry 4.0.' In this session they presented best practices related to the importance of both Lean and Kata principles being used in workforce development. They further highlighted n their session the need for these workforce improvements to be developed prior to and in parallel with enhancing your plant automation through Industry 4.0 technologies.
