TNWFD Academy Announcment

Coming Soon! The Economic Development team at the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services (UT CIS) is proud to announce that the inaugural Tennessee Workforce Development (TNWFD) Academy is launching February 18-20, 2025 in Knoxville!

 

This two-and-a-half day training is designed for workforce development professionals, educators, business and HR professionals, and community and economic development practitioners. Teams will benefit from panel discussions, networking, and expert instruction to facilitate better alignment among stakeholders. 

 

Key drivers of the TNWFD Academy include:

  • Strengthen alliances between workforce development, economic development and business and industry partners to advance economic development
  • Enhance workforce development systems to address key state and regional goals, particularly in rural and distress areas.
  • Support professional development needs identified by workforce development practitioners.
