Authorized and funded by the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022, The Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), a program of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), has awarded $400,000 to the TMEP to develop programs to increase resiliency and efficiency of domestic supply chains. TMEP will utilize the funding to support the Tennessee manufacturing supply chain by providing dedicated resources to facilitate connections between entities with a specific supplier need and Tennessee companies with the capability to fulfill the needs. Additionally, Tennessee manufacturers will receive no cost access to Connex Tennessee.
